The numerous tubificidae often appear in the wastewater treatment plant recently. The worms devour biofilm, decrease the water quality and bring heavy burden to the plant and the surrounding environment.The water quality monitoring data is analysized of the sewage treatment plant of3years.From March to June of each year, the factory water CODcr and NH3-N values are higher than other months, even often not up to the compliance.And every year around this time, the population density of worms in the BAF is much higher than other months too,so we make sure that the water quality fluctuations is relate to the tubificidae.The tubificidae as the research object are researched in the study.Research the growth characteristics of the worms preliminarily. The kind of worms are fit to the high salinity and the low salinity will kill them; Its suitable pH ranges of5.0to9.0.The large species of Red worms are aerobicA large number of them will die under hypoxic conditions (DO≤2mg/L) and under aerobic conditions (DO≥4mg/L) they grow well.The most appropriate temperature for the tubificidae is20℃.The activity of worms reduce greatly if the temperature is too low and there will be a large number of deaths when the temperature is too high.Compare the inactivation to the worms of four chemicals. Studies have shown that the inactivation is low when the chlorine, potassium permanganate and hydrogen peroxide dosage at1-10mg/L of conditions, even under prolonged exposure and adjust the pH. The Chlorine is better. In dosage10mg/L, contact time30minutes, the inactivation rate can reach100%. The Chlorine dioxide Best CT is500-600and the concentration takes5~8mg/L.The nearly three years of water quality monitoring of raw data is analysized through the SPSS,using the ROC curve to determine the water quality indicators of the tubificidae outbreak dynamic cordon. When the ammonia in the water is greater than38.2mg/L,maybe the density of the worms is greater than15/cm3in the future of three days; when the water salinity value is greater than3500mg/L, maybe the density of the worms is greater than15/cm3in the future of three days; when the ammonia in the water is greater than43.5mg/L,maybe the density of the worms is greater than15/cm3in the future of three days; when the water salinity value is greater than4120mg/L, maybe the density of the worms is greater than15/cm3in the future of three days.
