removing copper in cobalt nickel electrolyte solution to meet the two requirements:firstly, the concentration of copper can reach2mg/L in the electrolyte solution. Secondly, Copper slag can still satisfy the demand of electrolysis.In this paper, the basic properties of cobalt, nickel, distribution, application and copper removal methods in cobalt nickel electrolyte solution was briefly introduced.on the basis of analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of old methods that proposed a new technology methods:in the first place, Na2SO3was added to the electrolyte, Cu2+will be reduction into Cu+, then Cu+will react with Cl" to generate high stability of coordination compounds, as the S " generated by disproportionation reaction, S " reacted with Cu+generated Cu2S precipitate in the solution. The speed of produceed S2-is slow, copper ions can be first precipitation, prevent generated a lot of metal sulfide precipitation. Discusses the copper removal agent, time, temperature, effect on copper removal effect Respectively, the experiment result shows that the amount of Na2S2O3is4to5times the size of copper content in solution, the amount of Na2SO3is about2.0times that of the copper content in the solution, reaction duration was90min, the reaction temperature is90℃, the result is the best under this condition, in accordance with the basic requirement of industrial production.the advantage of This method that S2-generated slowly, it react with copper rather than nickel generated deposit, high selective separation, got high quality of cobalt, nickel, copper slag was less, the process was simple.Also, proposes the methods of rapid detection of the trace copper:according to the equation (2Cu2++41-=2CuI+I2), the iodine dissolved by non-polar organic solvents xylene elemental, then apply absorbance spectrophotometry and visual colorimetric method to measure the concentration of Cu2+.It is simple, low cost, less time and convenient.
