Flat plate air preheater is a kind of heat transfer equipment,which is a widely used inelectrical,construction,chemical,HVAC and other industries with the advantages of highheat transfer coefficient, low investment cost, and easy configuration.The new flat plateair preheater,with anti-corrosion performance, low pressure drop, easy to clean and longservice life,which is designed from the issue,is achieved a modular structure, large-scaleand combination.Based on the many advantages,the new flat plate air preheater willbecome increasingly wide application areas.After the completion of the new flat plate air preheater’s main design, it relates totheir performance evaluation. The thermal performance is one of the most importantparameters of evaluation criteria, so accurate and efficient determination of theparameters of the criteria of the preheater has important practical significance. Thevolume of new flat plate air preheater entities is very big, high manufacturing costs, andcurrently no test equipment should preheater.To solve the above problems, the main subject of the work carried out the followingaspects:(1)Based on the principle of similarity theory, the original air preheater flat plategeometry and heat transfer performance of the entity, completed the flat plate similarityof the air preheater and prototype design. And based on the thermodynamic aspectssystem, control and measurement systems, of the test stand, carried out a detailedanalysis of argumentation and design, completed the new plate air preheater prototypetest rig design and construction.(2)Design the experiments, according to the test plate air preheater standard,analysis of the experimental data obtained from the test. Plotting curve and fittingequation by the Matlab. According the experimental data to demonstrate the heat transferand corrosion resistance of the flat plate air preheater with the air curtain. And thensummarize a reasonable design theory of flat plate air preheater with air curtain.(3)Design a temperature control system by the Labview, which is developed by theNational Instruments Corporation, is for monitoring the inlet and outlet air temperaturechanges of the cold and hot channel of the test bench. And automatic testing data. (4)Acquisition and processing, when qualifying. At the same time feedback theaffect preheater heat transfer according the changes of temperature. To adjust the intakeair of the cold and hot fluid, thus ensuring efficient plate air preheaters.By studying the subject, made a lot of data, demonstrates the effect of heat transferand corrosion resistance of flat plate air preheater with air curtain. Design andmanufacturing provides an important reference and a strong impetus for the flat plate airpreheater in the future.
