Plasma arc powder spray welding technology (PPW) is the transfer of argon plasma arc as heat source type, with alloy powder spray welding material of a kind of welding process. Because of the plasma arc with high temperature, heat concentration, parent metal, low dilution rate, weld layer tidy, process stability and the advantages of easy to realize automation of welding process, the technology has been widely used in valves, air valves, metallurgical rolling tools and parts, such as petroleum drill pipe welding repair.This thesis had developed a set of plasma spray welding powder equipment and automation control system in view of the large valve sealing surface welding repair. The equipment was mainly composed of plasma spray welding gun, powder feeder, welding positioner, welding torch two-dimensional motion mechanism and frame body. The torch was created with a water-cooled cooling parallel system and the powders were injected into the plasma jet from inside the nozzle. The torch whose structure is suitable is convenient to use in the process of PTA powder surfacing.The powder was a gas turnplate feeder with simple structure, quantitative precision and convenient to send powder quantity adjustment. In addition, the relatively perfect control system was designed in order to adjust the conveying powder powder amount, two-dimensional motion of gun and displacement machine, in accordance with the requirements for the chronological order, which was based on omron PLC type C60P. Finally with the help of3D software Pro/e, the work of3D modeling, virtual assembly and interference detection and the main components of the explosion diagram analysis of the equipment was done, and the results could shorten new product development cycle, reduce production cost.
