| A conventional optical material is gradually replaced by high refractive index resin, which widely used in the eyeglass lens, optical disk substrate, optical lens, materials, prism and other fields. High refractive index optical resin bound to become a research hot spot for some time with increasing requirement of high-performance optical resin. In this paper, bis(4-methacryloyl thiophenyl) sulfide and2-Propenoic acid,2-methyl-,1,1’-(sulfonyldi-4,1-phenylene) ester were screened by according to the relevant literature, the sources of raw materials, product’s performance and the degree of difficulty of synthesis, and the synthesis process of two optical resin monomer as the research content of this topic. The synthesis process of the above additives was studied from reaction temperature, ratio of raw materials, choice of polymerization inhibitor, choice of solvent, and other aspects.4,4’-Diphenyl sulfide sulfonyl chloride was synthesized using diphenyl sulfide, chlorosulfonic acid and thionyl as starting materials by sulfonation and sulfonyl chlorination, followed by reduction with triphenylphosphine, to obtain4,4’-dimercapto-diphenyl sulfide. Then reactions with a-methyl-acryloyl chloride at low temperature conditions of phase transfer catalysis to synthesis bis(4-methacryloyl thiophenyl) sulfide. Sulfonation and sulfonyl chlorination reaction is carried out under anhydrous conditions, and the reduction reaction temperature is80℃, and the esterification reaction should be added a polymerization inhibitor, to reduce the polymerization of methacrylic acid chloride the product. The total yield was75.0%.4,4’-Dihydroxy diphenyl sulfone was synthesized using phenol and H2SO4as starting materials by sulfuric acid and dehydration condensation. Then react with a-methyl-acryloyl chloride at low temperature under phase transfer catalysis conditions to synthesis2-Propenoic acid,2-methyl-,1,1’-(sulfonyldi-4,1-phenylene) ester. The yield of above two reactions was67.1%.Each step yield was higher than the literature value or similar, but the synthesis methods used in study has a low cost of raw materials, simple operation, mildreaction conditions, and suitable for industrial production.The above compounds were determined by GC or HPLC, and structures confirmed by IR, GC-MS and1H NMR. |
