Mineral resources are the material basis of developing the national economy and protecting national security. Along with economic development increasing demand for more mineral resources and surface shorting of resources increasingly, deep mining has become the development trend of future mining. Hongtoushan Copper Mine is the typical deep mine in China, the pressure issue is a prominent problem for mine safety in production over the years. This paper take this mine for the study background, by using various of methods to monitor the surrounding rock of27stope on-707m level during the excavation, to study the surrounding rock damage evolution in deep stope, which is important for the optimization of mining method in deep mines and the mining pressure management, to achieve safe and efficient deep metal mine exploration.Based on research, selected the test content and monitor program by the target with space and the continuity of time, solved the issue for recyclable installation of acoustic emission sensors, and the problem of AE system remote control and data download, took the analysis to Ultrasonic velocity, borehole camera, multi-point Extensometer and inclinometer data, the following conclusions can be obtained:(1) Through AE waveform characteristics we can get the acoustic emission frequency of broken rock; through the experiment by hitting the surface of ramp got the surface elastic wave propagation rate; through studied on the statistics of AE signals number accumulation and the AE signal rate to get the activities of AE during excavation.(2) Based on multi-point Extensometer and inclinometer test results obtained the affected areas, time of duration and the deformation of stope by excavation of rock blasting; based on the deformation of multi-point extensometer after concentrated blasting to get the periodic law of deformation of rock damage during the mining process.(3) Through the studies of borehole camera data got the geological structure and damage of surrounding rock; base on the image data of borehole camera obtained damage characteristics of wall rock the during excavation process.(4) Based on the comprehensive comparison of multi-point extensometer deformation and acoustic emission data, got the correlation both of these; through the studies on comparison of acoustic wave speed data and borehole camera, got the specific scope of excavation damage to the wall rock and obtained acoustic damage index grade and the corresponding rock mass characteristics.
