It is inevitable that aluminum strip deviation would occur during the unwinding processin the production line of2800mm aluminum strip recoiling line, which is due to the defects ofincoming strip and production equipment. In order to prevent the emergence of aluminum stripdeviation and improve product quality, the application of the strip correction control systembecomes absolutely necessary.This paper presents a profound analysis of the reasons for the strip deviation and its harm.Combining with the widely used strip correction control system in the current steel industry tochoose hydraulic position servo center position control system to achieve automatically centrecontrol of the strip. The system can bring the feature of fast response, high control accuracyand large driving load capacity into full play. Then, in accordance with parameters in thepractical production, selecting photoelectric detection device, hydraulic cylinders,electro-hydraulic servo valves, linear displacement sensor and other components to composethe hydraulic position servo and center position control system, which will meet the controlrequirements of the system.Through the linear modeling and MATLAB/Simulink simulation of the designedhydraulic position servo control system, several disadvantages of the original system are found,such as: poor stability, large overshoot and long time on adjustment. On the basis of mentionedabove, it designs PID controller and correction link for phase lag to optimize the system. Twooutput curves of the system after the correction step response are given and then be compared.Selecting the appropriate PID controller can greatly improved dynamic characteristics ofsystem, and both of the accuracy and the bandwidth of system can meet the designrequirements.Furthermore, on the basis of the continuous control system model, this paper conducts adiscrete analysis and obtains response curves in different sampling period of the system. Bycomparison, the present system has better dynamic performance in small sampling period.
