Aluminum is one of the most abundant, the most widespread metal elements in thecrust, compared with the steel, its density is small and its plasticity, conductive heatconduction, resistance to oxidation and recovery performance are all well. Compared withaluminum, aluminum alloy has higher specific strength and specific stiffness close to ormore than high-quality steel, because of the addition of alloy elements, it reinforce thealuminum matrix, in addition, aluminum alloy as same as aluminum, it has low densityand good plasticity, so it can be used for processing into various shapes and plates;aluminum alloy also has good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and corrosionresistance, on the basis of these advantages, the aluminum alloy is widely applied inindustry. Some aluminum alloy can get through the heat treatment to get a bettermechanical properties, physical properties and corrosion resistance. With theadvancement of automotive lightweight, aluminum alloy material is applied abundantly inautomobile industry.Auto bent arm as a key fittings that in the car’s steering system, which can withstandthe complex stress and strain, besides, the use performance of cars depends largely on thequality of bent arm. In the process of aluminum alloy forming into bent arm, because theshape of the curved arm is complex and the characteristics of aluminum alloy in theprocess of forging forming, so it will appear forming defects such as cracks andDEFORMation insufficient during the forging process. In order to forge aluminum alloycurved arm that has high quality performance, this article research the car bent arm andmake numerical simulation analysis mainly from the forming process and avoid forging defects.In this article, we choose6082aluminum alloy that applied widely in the Europeanas the bent arm material. The6series aluminum alloy has high heat resistance, abrasionresistance and shaping, besides, it can be reinforced through DEFORMation and heattreatment.The6082aluminum alloy has characteristics such as moderate intensity,wellcold work ability.We make the aluminum alloy bent arm processing is:the roll forgingmat-bending-die forging composite process.By the numerical simulation analysis about the roll forging, optimizing the rollforging die and designing the roll forging groove. Through these, we can avoidappearing some phenomenon, such as, bending, convex and concave to ensure theaccuracy of the roll forging results.By the numerical simulation analysis about the roll forging die forging, optimizingthe structure and size of roll forging blank, achieving reasonable forging process andhaving the required results finally.In this paper, we obtain the regularity about temperature distribution of workpieceand the influence regularity of force curve by changing the mould temperature, velocityand coefficient of friction, finally, we get the best parameters. These provide effectivereference for the forging process of aluminum alloy curved arm.At last, we make grain size analysis for die forging. In the DEFORMation area, wemake track analysis about the change of the crystallite size about some point, throughthis, we can achieve the distribution and size of inrerior crystal grain during forgingprocess. Comparing the crystal size under different temperature, we can obtain the mostsuitable temperature for forging forming.
