In early1990‘s, metal-organic frameworks gradually attracted the attentions ofscientists. Metal-organic frameworks are a new type of porous material, constructedby linking metal nodes and organic ligands with coordination bonds. Owing to itsunlimited possibility to build new structures, it has diverse structures and properties.There have been synthesized thousands of metal-organic frameworks with differentstructure, magnetic properties, electrical properties, optical properties and catalyticproperties.In recent years, functional metal-organic framework materials appeal to materialscientists, especially metal-organic framework membranes. Compared tometal-organic framework films and metal-organic framework mixed matrixmembranes, metal-organic framework membrane are continuous, compact, defect-freeand intergrow membrane with well crystallinity. As a result, the molecular wouldn‘tpermeate the membrane through nonselective micro-defects. What‘s more, there is nobinder inside membranes, which will block the pores of metal-organic frameworkcrystals, so metal-organic framework membrane will have better separation efficiency.Recently, most of the researches on metal-organic framework membranes focus ongas separation, while liquid separation, especially chiral resolution, is still in its earlystages. Therefore, we chose a kind of mixed metal-organic framework (M‘MOF-7) asthe raw material for membrane. Here we put forward a versatile method forpreparation of homochiral mixed metal-organic framework membrane on ZnOsupport. The M‘MOF-7membrane is continuous, compact, defect-free and intergrow.Additionally, this membrane grown preferentially on (020),(110),(040) orientation.We also studied its separation efficiency on H2/CH4,H2/N2,H2/CO2and ()1-phenyl-ethanol.Besides metal-organic framework membrane, a novel functional metal-organicframework material has recently caught scientists‘eyes, called metal-organicframework aerogel. In contrast to traditional aerogels, metal-organic framework aerogel has well-defined crystal structure and uniform micropores. It piles up by alarge number of metal-organic framework nanoparticles, though it has normalmesopores and macropores of traditional aerogels. Consequently, it is considered thatit will perform better efficiency in gas separation. According to the metal-organicframework constructed the aerogel, it will exhibit unique optical, electrical andmagnetic properties from that metal-organic framework. On the other hand, aerogelcan be shaped into any form, which may solve the problem that metal-organicframework faced in industrial application to some extent. Here, we applied UIO-66,UIO-66-NH2and UIO-66-NO2as the raw material and firstly proposed a versatileprocess to prepare Zr-based metal-organic framework aerogel. We obtained excellentthermal stable Zr-based metal-organic framework aerogels with high crystallinity viafreezing dry process. The UIO-66aerogel is stable under500℃, liked the relevantmetal-organic framework crystal. We also studied its efficiency on CO2selectiveadsorption.
