ZnAl-I03-LDHs is prepared by methods of coprecipitation, hydrothermal and ion exchange. The crystallinity of LDHs prepared by hydrothermal method is highest. The interlayer spacing is1.02nm detected by X-ray diffraction(XRD).The iodate pillared hydrotalcite was deoxidized by hydrazine hydrate(N2H4·H2O) and sodium sulfite(Na2SO3). Detected by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy, the products were the iodine ion intercalated hydrotalcite(ZnAl-I LDHs) and sulfate ion intercalated hydrotalcite(ZnAl-SO4LDHs). Furthermore, we found two mechanisms according to the reactions. The N2H4·H2O deoxidizing the hydrotalcite conforms to the outer core diffusion of D7dynamics model and the reaction occurs at the hydrotalcite microspheres interface. However, the Na2SO3firstly enters to the interlayer and then reacts with IO3-. The model conforms to the D11dynamic model.In addition, the hydrotalcite was oxidated by H2O2and NaCIO, respectively. But the H2O2can’t react with the iodate pillared hydrotalcite, however, the0.5%NaClO can. Finally, Preparate iodine substituted aniline by iodate pillared hydrotalcite, aniline and sodium bicarbonate. The product is one substituted aniline detected by GC-MS.
