Ozone catalytic oxidation technology is used to degrade the persistent organic pollutants by the free radicals which are produced by ozone, researchers also pay more attentions to this technology. Using TAIC production wastewater as the research object, analyzing the process of degradation, the reaction conditions and the mechanism of ozone catalytic oxidation are studied in this paper. The water quality indicators in different periods of wastewater treatment are measured and analyzed such as CODcr, BOD5, Salinity, etc. In order to find the organics in wastewater, we make the use of GC-MS to know the organic category, and make the use of HPLC to know the content of organics. According to the above work, we found that the main pollutant is TAIC which is the reaction product. Then, we chose active carbon fiber as the catalyst and absorbent, use the ozone catalytic oxidation to remove the simulated wastewater of TAIC and also combined with the characteristics of actual production wastewater. There are some effects in the process of removing TAIC, such as the initial concentration, pH, catalyst dosing ozone concentration, etc. Activated carbon fiber can promote the ozone oxidation process; with the amount of catalyst dosing increasing, the removal of TAIC is better. Ozone is main part of the reaction system in this process, with the increased of ozone concentration, the removal rate of TAIC is also gradually increased, but when the concentration increase to a certain value, the removal can’t be better any more. In the alkaline condition, the removal rate of TAIC is better, because there are more oxidation reactive group with the decomposition of ozone. While the initial concentration of TAIC increased, the processing is decreased. As a result, the optimum conditions of the treatment is that the catalyst dosing quantity is1.2g/L, the initial concentration is200mg/L, the pH is7, and the concentration of ozone is2g/h, after reaction more than40minutes, the removal rate of TAIC is93.54%.With the process of ozone catalytic degradation as the research object, the addition of-OH radical scavenger, the oxidation reaction would be restrained, while the addition of H2O2can improve the efficiency of the reaction. We can get the conclusion that the existence of-OH radical in the reaction process, which provides the basis of theory for the application of oznone catalytic oxidation of TAIC wastewater technology.
