Currently, large deployable antennas on board satellite are realized for satellite communications and VLBI application. For these antennas, knitted wire mesh is used as reflecting surface because it is lightweight, and elastic due to its knitted structure. Russia, the United States, Japan and other a few developed countries in this satellite antenna productions have relatively mature technology, the mesh which also knitted in the structure of Single atlas, Back half tricot, Single satin and plated nickel or gold are always made form Stainless Steel Wire, Molybdenum, tungsten according to foreign countries. In this field, our country is still at the beginning, so it is important for the research of stainless steel wire, gold-plated molybdenum wire and the research of warp knitting processing to achieve the target of localization.This paper achieved the goal-development the large deployable antennas by studying stainless steel wire, gold-plated molybdenum wire and other material and optimizing warping. In order to select the most appropriate materials, We choose to test the mechanical properties, rub resistance and consider the electrical performance and stability of materials. We choose and improve the most suitable machines for the processing of metal wire by anglicizing the process of warp knitting. In the end, we achieved the success of the metal mesh weaving and tested the mesh.In the process of the project, we found the fineness requirements of wire which can be made into large deployable antennas. Firstly, we transformed the equipment of warping, and finally formed a most suitable processing line for metal wire warping. Secondly, we mastered all sorts of effects of the weaving process by Weaving different fineness wire. Thirdly, We owned the most suitable machine speed, warp run-in, tension and so on.
