The hydration (preparing terpineol) and the isomerization(preparing camphene) have been widely used in industry. These reactions are using strong acids as catalysts, and the shortcomings of these catalyst include big product, serious environmental pollution and equipment corrosion and non-recyclable.To slove the above questions, we synthetizethe new acid ionic liquids and was used to catalyze the hydration and the isomerization of a-pinene.[HSO3(CH2)3-NEt3]Cl-ZnCl2Show good catalytic activity to catalyze the hydration of a-pinene.They were characterized by FT-IR,13C NMR.and’H NMR.Adopting infrared spectrometry using pyridine as probe determined the acidity of ionic liquid.Selection the ionic liquid which suit a-pinene isomerization reaction is [HSO3(CH2)3-NEt3]Cl-ZnCl2.The factors influence on α-pinene hydration reaction were investigated, the best reaction conditions were n(α-pinene): n(ionic liquid): n(chloroactic acid): n(water)=10.05:15,n(α-pinene)=0.04mol,80℃and8h.The conversion of a-pinene was94.76%and the selectivity of terpineol was59.89%. When reused5times, the conversion of a-pinene and the selectivity of terpineol have little change.Selection the ionic liquid which suit a-pinene isomerization reaction is [HSO3(CH2)3-NEt3]Cl-ZnCl2. The factors influence on a-pinene isomerization reaction were investigated, the best reaction conditions were n(a-pinene):n(ionic liquid)=9:1,n(α-pinene)=0.04mol,140℃and4h. Under this situation, the conversion of a-pinene was97.67%, the selectivity of camphene was64.87%.When reused5times, the conversion of a-pinene and the selectivity of camphene was also good.In a word,The ionic liquids were synthetized in this paper have high catalytic activity and Can be reused. The catalyst can make the reaction-separation integration.
