Metal cutlery production industry used manual feeding way of implementationartifacts of extrusion forming for a long time, its production efficiency was restrictedby the operator proficiency or the intensity of labors, and also put operators to a placeof danger. In order to change metal cutlery calender to an open structure, and to usethe way of chain transmission to realize automatic production, we could not onlyimprove the production efficiency, but also make it more convenient and safe.The design of the horizontal rolling machine mainly consisted of roller, frame,transmission device, automatic feeder and PLC control system, etc. The calender wasmade up of two roller, horizontal parallel placed on the rack, and frame beam, verticalpin, metal spoons billet extension into such as required thickness of slice, and therolling process was simulated and analyzed, it had mainly analyzed the frame of theeffective stress, and determined the stability of the rack, etc.There were a lot of relevant technical parameters of rolling machine, this papermainly studied how to chose the number of roller and the diameter and length, therollers linear velocity, the roller speed ratio, the lateral pressure and drive power of theroller, etc. The CAD for the frame structure of the chart was mapped, and used Pro/Emodel diagram and imported into DEFORM3d software simulation analysis.Metal cutlery cross rolling machine adopted open structure to chain with PLCcontrol automatically tape feeder automation in the mutual cooperation to achieve.The chain type automatic feeder was mainly composed of base, its steering, clamp,discharging device, three-phase asynchronous motor (including gear motor), sprocket,feeding device, chain and other parts. Six stroke switches and8electromagneticcontrol device for distribution were put in the machine seat, as PLC input devices andoutput devices, the machine adopted LG MASTER-K120S series PLC for automaticcontrol program.The chain transfer part required equipment generally consisted of frame, thechain, pliers, feeding device, discharge device, turn-over device, three-phaseasynchronous motor and gear motor, etc. The design at last was to match the metalcross rolling machine so as to realize the production of spare parts. Its workingprocess generally was run by machines, feeding, after horizontal rolling machine,extrusion billet, unloading and other parts. The process should pay attention to wasthe three-phase asynchronous motor frequency control of motor speed to adjust to theconsistent with the horizontal calender speed, then it could ensure the machine stableand reliable when at work.
