| Food safety is the greatest concern of the public now. Food testing, as the key to guaranteeing food safety, is not only practical demand, but also the research focus of the academic community. Traditional food testing is now facing varieties of challenges, such as quantities of new requirements on food testing presented by the frequent occurrence of food safety events, food testing technology’s failure to timely meet the demand of the times, outdated testing standards, low testing efficiency and the authority of the testing that is questioned. All these challenges require food testing to readjust resources for the purpose of seeking a development path in IT era.Food testing laboratory is required to accomplish government’s mandatory mission concerning the entrusted food testing. In practice, the quality test carried out by food testing laboratory as a public institution encounters varieties of problems. For instance, a food testing laboratory in H City suffers the problems as follows:outdated testing process and disordered management; inaccurate data and lack of data analysis; huge difficulty in managing testing institution; and fierce testing market competition.In order to address these problems, the statistical process quality control theory is combined to propose a specific solution-quality promotion system for food testing laboratory-in adherence to the principle of RFID technology under the guidance of quality management theory, especially, the "measurement, analysis and improvement" module of performance excellence management.In the face of low testing efficiency, focus is placed on exploring the conceptions and application of RFID technology in food testing process. Secondly, In the face of the inaccurate testing data, attention is paid to probing into the method and application of laboratory’s internal quality control; particularly, quality control chart method is applied to analyzing and evaluating the testing data. In the face of outdated testing technology, the measures that promote the ability of testing personnel are presented.After practical testing, the testing quality of food laboratory is significantly improved, which is embodied in the upgrade of consumer satisfaction, lower error rate of testing report, good ability to test the result, and remarkable scientific achievements of the laboratory. |
