In order to develop the potential applications of starch. The crosslinked starchmicrospheres were synthesized by new progresses.Various effects on the synthesisProcess, physical and chemical properties of porous starch microspheres wasimiestigated, the composition and structure of porous starch microspheres wasexamined by the features of modem analysis and testing technology. The starchmicrospheres was studied as a new adsorptive material and adsorption properties ofstarch microspheres on Vc as well as the desiccant drying capacity. The main research content and results are shown as follows:(1)By using inverse suspension crosslinking method, edible stage adsorption ofstarch microspheres were prepared from soluble starch, with three sodiummetaphosphate as the crosslinking agent, Span80as emulsifier, and soybean oil as theoil phase. The influence of preparation conditions on their The degree of crosslinkingand phosphorus content was investigated by single factor experiments and orthogonalexperiments.Porous microspheres preparation has been investigated and the bestreaction conditions were obtained: the pH value was10, reaction temperature was50℃, amount of crosslinker was0.8%of starch, reaction time was6h, the obtainedporous starch microsphere has the best adsorption properties. The results show that:the starch microspheres were synthesized by inverse suspension technology process issimple, the reaction time is short, mild reaction conditions, various factors is easy tocontrol, good repeatability.(2)Porous starch microspheres prepared by the porogen polyethylene glycol withdifferent molecular weight were600,1000,2000,4000,6000,10000,20000anddosage and amount of three sodium hexametaphosphate. Porous starch microspheresadsorption for the methylene blue was investgated and chose the best conditionthrough the experiment: the molecular weight of the hole using polyethylene glycol was4000,6000,10000, dosage0.08g/g starch, reaction time5h, three sodiummetaphosphate dosage0.8%starch.(3) Using the porogen molecule amounte of4000,6000,10000,the microspheres wasprepared to adsorb Vc, results showed that microspheres: adsorption pore agent, polyethylene glycol4000was the best, the most suitable for the preservation of therelease rate of the minimum, easy oxidation of Vc.(4) the microspheres polyethylene glycol4000as the porogen. It as a desiccant wascharacterized by moisture absorption rate measurement, BET surface area analysisand renewable measurement. In the research, the porous starch were prepared from5g soluble starch,with0.6g TSTP and1g polyethylene glycol4000. Its moistureabsorption rate was highest up to18.8%. It had a BET surface area of1699m2/g andwas not renewable. The effect of porous starch moisture absorption was bettercompared with calcium oxide desiccant.
