In recent years, with the continuous improvement of our economy andpeople’s living standards, the increasing urban population hair, hair dyeingsewage emissions increased year by year. Due to the complexity of dyeingsewage composition, high organic concentration, poor biodegradability, strongalkaline, high color, if not properly handled will cause serious environmentalharm. Water quality of dyeing sewage and hair dyes species closely related,varieties of dyes present on the market range, but the main raw material aresubstantially the same, mainly containing aniline, p-phenylenediamine (C6H8N2),(p)-hydroquinone (C6H6O2), o (m, p) amino-phenol (C6H7NO) such as aniline,phenol organics and thioglycolic acid (C2H4O2S), cetearyl alcohol, Oleth-30, α-iso-methyl ionone, poly dimethyl siloxane alkyl and other organic compounds.Aniline dye industry is an important raw material, such substances toxic,carcinogenic obvious, because the impact on the environment and human healthis great, but is included in the priority class of fourteen priority pollutantsblacklist. Although in recent years, with the improvement in productiontechnology, some of the content of harmful substances in the hair dye can bereduced, but its toxicity, pathogenicity still exist.Due to the current domestic sewage treatment in hair coloring techniqueinvolving little research areas, has not been found on the hair dyeingsewagebiological treatment reported, this paper dyeing wastewater, hairdyeing mixedsewage and sewage effluent as objects, were investigated by testing ordinary SBRprocess and built humus filler in SBR process performance under differentoperating conditions, and analyzed three sewage settling characteristics, factorstypical cycle and reactor sludge catalase enzyme activities characteristics.Experimental results show that when ordinary SBR process run withaerobic-hypoxia, the hair dyeing mixed sewage COD, total phosphorus, ammonia, totalnitrogen removal efficiency were89.35%,91.07%,71.75%,62.28%, comparedto domestic sewage COD removal efficiency is quite,high removal efficiency oftotal phosphorus, but total nitrogen removal efficiency and sludge catalaseactivity is relatively low, before and after mixing sewage treatment heavy metal test results show that lead, mercury, cadmium, copper were not detected, onlyarsenic, trace iron content increases, the reason may come from urban sewagesludge inoculum containing a certain amount of heavy metals.Built-humus filler SBR processrun with aerobic-hypoxia, the hair dyeingmixed sewage COD, total phosphorus, ammonia, total nitrogen removalefficiency were95.14%,95.01%,80.53%,74.29%, higherthan ordinary SBRprocess, sludge catalase activity trends on the whole showed a high-low trend,and the built-in humus filler SBR process higherthan ordinary SBR process.When the original aerobic-hypoxia mode of operation for the exchangehypoxia-aerobic operation mode, the lack of (anaerobic) oxygen stage, due tooxygenis easier to control than the original operation mode, the entire system ofnitric acid bacteria and nitrite bacteria superior environment, the removalefficiency of nitrogen significantly higher than the original operation mode, butin the aerobic stage, due to be affected by heterotrophic bacteria in anoxicenvironments, the removal efficiency of nitrogen did not significantly improve.Nitrogen removal from the overall perspective, this operating mode, either thebuilt-in humus fillerSBR or ordinary SBR process technology, the nitrogenremoval, there is no significant difference.In hypoxia-aerobic mode of operation, ordinary SBR process COD, totalphosphorus, ammonia, total nitrogen removal efficiency were81.95%,94.43%,65.54%,59.78%, while the built-in humus removal efficiency of SBR processfiller were86.77%,97.77%,73.41%,66.37%, indicating that the built-inhumus filler SBR process is better than ordinary SBR process. Therefore, hairmixed sewage, whether aerobic-hypoxia or hypoxic-aerobic operation mode,the built-in humus filler SBR process COD, total phosphorus, ammonia, totalnitrogen removal efficiency was higher than ordinary SBR processes.
