In recent years, with the rapid growth of domestic energy demand, oil and gaspipelines and related transportation infrastructure construction has always maintaineda strong momentum of growth. China oil and gas pipeline in service with more than6x10. Km, a considerable number of them after years of service, have varyingdegrees of corrosion and the need for testing, modification, repair or pressureoperation. Application of integrity management technology, to ensure that the pipelinewill always be in the fully reliable service state. Pipeline inspection and repairtechnology is integrity support technique important component, to timely detect andrepair the defects of tube body, so that the pipe is always in a controlled state, fullymeet the physical and functional integrity.Detection technology into the inside, outside detecting technology. As theinternal inspection technology effectively, outside detecting technology is mainlyapplied in the main pipeline, not pigging stations, refineries, oil pipelines andancillary facilities, such as tanks, valves, compressors and other detection. Outsidedetecting technology develops rapidly in recent years, a large number of high-techdetection technique, such as ultrasonic guided wave testing technique, flat guidedwave testing technique, ultrasonic phased array and diffraction time difference(TOFD)detection, acoustic emission detection technology, detection technology oftrenchless series as well as other nondestructive testing technology. Each techniquehas its own scope and characteristics, combined use, effective protection of the oiland gas pipelines and facilities integrity.Pipeline rehabilitation technology including pipeline repair technology andpipeline repair technology two kinds big. Because the pipeline detection can avoid orreduce the pipeline accidents, accurate and comprehensive understanding ofconditions, scientific forecast future pipeline operation conditions, the guide pipe ofmanagers and operators economically and reliably maintain pipeline, change in thepast is insufficient maintenance and superfluous maintenance to condition-basedmaintenance, so promoting the development of long distance oil and gas pipeline to detect the cause, improve the level of pipeline repair is the extension of old pipelinelife, accident prevention, protection of the safe operation of the pipelines of theimportant guarantee.The topic for the oil and gas pipeline coating (coating) detection and repairtechnology present situation and its development direction, comparing the old and thenew coating inspection and repair technology advantages and disadvantages, to clearthe future oil and gas pipeline coating detection and repair technology of the walkingdirection.
