| Since rotating hearth furnace is the key and energy-consuming facility in the hot-extruded tubes production line, the features are:large scale of productivity, high utilization of heating capacity and the uniformity of heating effect. The efficient and economic running of the rolling mill is depending on the well function of the rotating hearth furnace. This paper focuses on, with the rapid development of automation technology, how to take advantage of the advance automatic control technologies and facilities to improve the basic automatic control effect and level, to ensure reheating billet quality, to realize high efficiency and energy-saving, and to reduce pollution.The thesis is based on the control system of the rotating hearth furnace used for domestically-made nuclear power evaporator tubes in Baosteel (as part of the hot-extruded tubes production line). The research on control system of rotating hearth furnace according to its mechanical structure and characteristics helps design principle of control system and other related control systems.The design process is discussed on hardware and software parts. On the aspect of hardware design, the focus is on programmable logic control (PLC), temperature control system and electric control system. On the aspect of software design, the discussion is focused on working principle of PLC, programming software of PLC and typical control programs.To visualize the control process and track system operation timely, we take advantage of WinCC, structures to design the overview of the system, burner control, temperature control, report print and alarm information.Apply the debugging on the rotating hearth furnace according to the program and process. The on-site operation shows our automatic control system can meet the automation control requirements of rotating hearth furnace with high reliability and flexible control configuration. |
