| Moisture content of crude oil which is concerned with the field of management decisionmaking, mining process and the rationality and scientific of water injection scheme is veryimportant basic parameters. Because Moisture content of crude oil directly affects thestatistical error of crude oil output and economic benefits, so we must accurately measure andcontrol it.In order to meet the practical production requirement of oil field, the microwavetechnology is applied to the dynamic detection system of oil-water interface in oil storagetanks. Different moisture content is equivalent to the different dielectric constant media,hasdifferent absorption capacity to microwave signal. When the medium flows through themicrowave sensor, we load certain amplitude and frequency microwave signal into it tomeasure the variation of output frequency and output phase offset. Through calibration, wecan get the curve relationship between moisture content of crude oil and output frequency aswell as output phase offset.Using HFSS simulation software, we found that curve attenuation is most obvious whenmicrowave excitation signal within the scope of100MHz to400MHz. moisture content testresults is accurate in this frequency range. We use400MHZ microwave sensor to doexperiment calibration and get the curve relationship. Through temperature compensationmeasures and introducing a correction factor, we introduce certain correction coefficient toimprove the measurement precision of the microwave sensor. The experimental results showthat using microwave sensors measure crude moisture content range up to0to100%range,measurement error of moisture content is less than2.275%and oil-water interface height isless than0.01m by microwave sensor. |
