Design And Solution Of Non-electrical Equipment Used In Explosive Atmospheres

Chinese national standards special for explosion-proof products have been already developed a lot till now. The technical requirements become to be more and more complete since each amendment, and now our standards are very close to the level of IECEx standards. There are many kinds of products in different types of protection. For the place where there might be explosive gas atmospheres, combustible dust or fibre atmospheres such as perto-oil, chemical and mineral industries, we can see almost all kinds of explosion proof products, but only electrical equipments. The reason is that during a long time, we have no relative national standards special for non-electrical equipment used in explosive atmosphere, there are not non-electrical explosion proof equipments, neither.GB25286series standards, special for non-electrical equipment used in explosive atmospheres, were implemented on September1st,2011. They are the basic rules to design and assess the non-electrical equipments going to be used in explosive atmospheres.In this paper, I compared-GB25286series Chinese standards with EN13463series European standards, and analyzed what each type of protection used for non-electrical equipments like to be, additional I made a detailed introduction of how to do the ignition sources assessment. Finally, via three typical samples, I analyzed all the potential ignition sources those might happened expectedly and unexpectedly, and complete the ignition assessment table, then to design and take the preventive measures accordingly, after that, the ignition sources become invalid, so the non explosion proof products are designed to be explosion proof. It is helpful to the technical engineers during their researching on the safety technique used on non-electrical explosion proof products, and make it developed and widely used on other products.
