Non-oriented silicon steel is mainly used for generators, motors, small transformers and ballasts cores. The key performance indicators of non-oriented silicon steel are magnetic induction and iron loss. This paper researched the high magnetic induction non-oriented silicon steel which is used for efficient motor and low iron loss6.5%Si non-oriented silicon steel, studied of alloy composition and rolling process on recrystallization texture structure and magnetic properties by X-ray diffraction and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) technique and analyzed silicon steel recrystallization texture formation mechanisms and evolution laws after temper rolling as well.(1) After normalization of hot rolled plate of0.5%Si non-oriented silicon steel and high manganese0.5%Si non-oriented silicon steel, the plate obtains a uniform, large grain structure, cold rolling would easily form shear zone, increasing η oriented grains nucleation, it will improve the finished product η and Goss texture strength, and decrease{111} texture component, thereby improves low silicon crystal texture, enhance Goss texture and η texture, improves magnetic properties.(2) After adding a suitable amount of Mn element in low silicon steel, it can inhibit the {111} component of the silicon recrystallization texture, promotes{100} and{110} component, especially favors the formation of Goss texture, which makes the high Mn non-oriented silicon steel magnetic properties better than ordinary0.5%Si non-oriented silicon steel.(3) Before critical rolling of high Mn0.5%Si non-oriented silicon steel, the intermediate annealing temperature should be between800℃-850℃, the microstructure should ensure that the intermediate annealing recrystallize completely and homogeneously. If the intermediate recrystallization annealing temperature is too low, it can’t be completed, and may impact grains growth after temper rolling; if the intermediate recrystallization annealing temperature is too high, phase transition will occur, meanwhile, will damage to texture components growth favorably and reduce the magnetic induction intensity of the final silicon steel sheet.(4) With intermediate annealing temperature increasing the y component of recrystallization texture of6.5%Si non-oriented silicon steel after temper rolling significantly weakens, η and λ components gradually enhance.
