Nowadays, the activated sludge process is widely used by wastewater treatment plant to process the wastewater in China, however, which produces a large number of excess sludge in wastewater treatment. The problem of secondary pollution that was produced by the excess sludge is more obvious due to the lack of the attention of sewage treatment. At the same time, the excess sludge treatment cost is so high that the harmless treatment rate is very low, so the top priority of the sewage treatment plants and the relevant departments of the state is how to deal with the excess sludge effectively and economically. In this paper, we need ultrasonic to deal with the excess active sludge in the experiment, meanwhile we analyse cracked process to apply the ultrasonic cavitation knowledge and improve the ability and efficiency of the ultrasonic sludge processing if the theory is combined with the practice.In this paper’s experiment, we need the ultrasonic cell disruption system to break the excess active sludge. Observing the crack effect in different conditions through testing the concentration of SCOD、TP、N、peptidoglycan and protein in clear liquid and sludge particle size and looking around the change of shape in microscope when we change the ultrasonic’s frequency, power and crack time, only in this way can we get the best combination of ultrasonic fragmentation. As for the simulate part, we use the MATLAB software to simulate the motion of bubble, bubbles collapse time and closure pressure based on the ultrasonic cavitation theory. In addition, we confirm a lot of experimental phenomena from the different simulation results when we changed the various factors of cavitation effect, and which puts forward the constructive measures to get better results in later experiments.Ultrasonic sludge processing is an effective method to be used for excess sludge processing through the experimental research and simulation results in this paper. However, what factor plays the key role in the broken process, frequency, power, broken time, temperature or sludge volume, which will be our experiment purpose and direction diligently later.
