| Steel particle abrasive widely used in surface cleaning and strengthening of steel plate, steel strip and malleable pieces. In recent years steel particle shot peening treatment as an alternative of pickling process,to be an environmentally friendly products. Steel particle in the application in different purposes require different granularity.Currently at home and abroad the production of steel particle size unity are very low, one-size only5to20%. When enterprises producing steel particle, the production cycle is long, rising inventories, restricting the development of enterprises.This paper studies the factors affecting steel particle abrasive size.In summing up the results of previous studies and experience, has designed a dish rotating disk centrifugal atomization device.Carried out water simulation experiments and particle preparation experiments.And take the high-speed camera records centrifugal atomization process to analyze the factors that affect the centrifugal atomization. The main work and the main results are as follows:(1)Simulation with water and take qualitative analysis with pouring velocityã€rotating disk speed and rotating disk size respectively.The results show that, as the pouring velocity rate increases,the size of droplet produced by dish rotating disk centrifugal atomization increases.As the speed increases, the size of droplets produced by centrifugal atomization decreases. With rotating disk size increases, the size of droplets produced by centrifugal atomization decreases.And when pouring velocity is large but disk size is small, centrifugal atomization mostly film split mode;when pouring velocity is small but disk size is large, centrifugal atomization mostly split mode;these two parameters centered, the centrifugal atomization mostly columnar split mode.(2)We produced steel particle on three kinds of centrifugal atomization split mode.and collected particles for analysis.The results showed that on the columnar split and and film split mode we can get the preferably unity particle size of maximum frequency, can reach 30%.In addition,large-size particle biased distributed near the centrifugal atomization center,small-size particle biased distributed away the centrifugal atomization center.(3)After calculation and analysis of the droplets split mode,we believe that in experiments and production the steel droplets of centrifugal atomization are unable to secondary cracking. The Weber number have important influence of particle morphology, as Weber number exceeds a critical deformation value, as the roundness of particle was significantly reduced. |
