4-chloro-phenyl-hydrazine is an important organic chemical intermediate. It’s widelyused to synthesis of salicylic acid anti-inflammatory drugs, NSAID and other pyrazolemedicine; pesticide pyraclostrobin and other pyrazole pesticides; neutral red and otherdye, etc. In this paper, p-chloronitrobenzene is used as the starting material and isreduced to p-chloroaniline by iron power. I researched the process conditions aboutp-chloroaniline as raw materials and hydrazine hydrate in the presence of acid catalystto prepare the p-chlorophenylhydrazine.Optimum process conditions for preparing p-chloroaniline from chloronitrobenzene:chloronitrobenzene7.9g(0.05mol), iron power9.8g(0.175mol, the molar ratio of ironpower and chloronitrobenzene is3.5:1), HCL6mL, H2O50mL, activation temperature80℃, activation time50min, reaction temperature85℃, reaction time3h, the yield is85%.Optimum process conditions for preparing p-chlorophenylhydrazine fromp-chloroaniline and hydrazine hydrate: p-chloroaniline6.4g(0.05mol), The molar ratioof p-chloroaniline and hydrazine hydrate is1:2.5, glycol9mL, reaction temperature110℃, reaction time5h, the yield of products is92.2%.
