With the constant development of the iron and steel industry of our country, Plate that is a force in the iron and steel products plays an important role in the shipbuilding industry, machinery processing industry, petrochemical industry, bridge construction and other industry. However, with the adjustment of the industry and the industrial structure improvement, ordinary steel plate has been difficult to meet the growing demand for industrial development, moreover, the high-grade, high strength, high value-added medium plate’s demand are growing, such as high strength ship plate of homogeneous performance, the plate for offshore oil platform, the bridge plate of large span highway and railway dual-purpose, the low temperature pressure vessel plate with high strength and low welding crack, the steel for oil storage tank of high strength large line energy as well as the military steel that are used in national defense industry and so on, which have a very broad marker space. these high grade steel are produced from heat treatment furnace. after the steel are heated to a predetermined temperature and kept a certain time, the furnace controls the cooling speed of steel plate, and makes the plate internal physical and chemical change in the structure of organization, to improve the performance of the steel plate, so as to make different kinds of high value-added steel plate. from the aspect of the realization of the process, the heat treatment of the steel sheet is achieved by automatic control, It is these years the advent of PLC、inverter、 instrument technology、man-machine interface and other industrial automation, which bring new hope for the process control and process development of heat treatment furnace. not only the heat treatment furnace, improves the production efficiency, reduces the equipment failure rate, reduces energy consumption, enhances the security and improves the quality of the products, but also lays a solid foundation for the high additional value product development, therefore, it is very necessary to study the automation and control technology of the heat treatment furnace.This thesis mainly studys the no oxidation treatment furnace with quenching function which comes from the angang medium heavy plate plant, discusses the heat treatment furnace structure, analyzes deeply the method to realize the automatic control process of heat treatment furnace, And further expounds and analyzes the problem which of the heat treatment furnace production runtime appears.
