Retractable metallic stent is a kind of widely used support in mine roadway, especially for deep and weak mine roadway, and is more commonly used supporting form, to adapt to the large deformation of surrounding rock and its pressure. The paper studied the Retractable metallic stent, mainly including the following aspects:(1) Through our analysis of metal stent damage type and the damage types of the scaffolds were classified into six categories according to the deformation characteristics and the mechanism of the damage.(2) Based on the established calculation model of retractable metallic stent, analysis of u-shape compressible support before and after dynamic internal force calculation, and deduce the formula to calculate the arch of yielding metal stent, so as to facilitate our bracket type selection, design and support strength and stability calculation, to support the design of the internal force calculation and has some reference value in engineering application.(3) Finally, the stability of the retractable metal stent is theoretically analyzed and the use of ANSYS finite element software was used to simulate the stability of support structure, can better guide us to improve the metal support of the tunnel to the overall carrying capacity.
