In this paper, the impact resistance of high-energy nitroamine propellant is the mainlycontents. And the suitable test conditions and characterization parameter to characterize theimpact properties of gun propellant were studied, according to the principle of drop-weightimpact test as well as the sample size of the prepared granular gun propellant. Propellantformulation was a simple changed, and a series of granular propellant was prepared by thetraditional method of hydraulic molding. The impact resistance of propellants and itsinfluence factors were studied by compression test and drop hammer test.Research shows that: the characterization of propellant’s impact resistance by impactenergy per volume deformation is consistent with the result trend of impact strength by GJBmethod. RDX, GAP, temperature and the impact rate affect the test results of impactresistance. The impact resistance of gun propellant were improved by adding an appropriateamount of RDX and GAP. |
