Gas pump fault monitoring and diagnosis system plays an importantrole in coal mine safety production. The traditional monitoring system ismainly based on the underground wiring and cable communication, andthe complex environment has a great influence on data transmission inmine. The monitoring is also very limited due to the restriction ofenvironment, and it is difficult to guarantee the normal operation of thegas pump. Thus it is necessary to design a device through data acquisitionand data transmission.ZigBee is a new generation of wireless network technology, and it hasadvantages such as low cost, low power consumption, wide networkcoverage and so on. The technology characteristic, network structure,protocol specifications and device type of ZigBee are deeply studied inthe paper. The applying of ZigBee wireless technology to the monitoringsystem can not only greatly reduce the effects of environment on datatransmission, but also can improve the monitoring accuracy and expand the scope of the monitor. A kind of monitoring and diagnosis systembased on ZigBee wireless network instead of the traditional cabletransmission is proposed in the paper. The system can monitor the qualityof the gas pump more accurately. So the safety of underground work isguaranteed. The whole system is divided into two parts, including faultmonitoring system and fault diagnosis system. In the monitoring system,CC2530of IT Company is selected as the core chip. The periphery of thechip circuit, power circuit, serial interface circuit and antenna are designand description. The selection and circuit design of monitoring sensorsare finished at the same time. ZigBee network, protocol Stack operationmode, data transmission between each node, and detailed analysis ofsensor nodes are researched based on Z-Stack protocol Stack.In this paper, the method of principal component analysis (PCA) andthe concept of signed directed graph (SDG) in fault diagnosis system isintroduced in detail, and the method integrates PCA theory into SDG faultdiagnosis. In view of the gas water ring pump structures, the hybrid faultdiagnosis system is built. Firstly, the method detects PCA statistics andthen uses the method of contribution figure to find abnormal variables.Moreover, the method builds a SDG model and reasons the fault source.The method can not only retain the good completeness of SDG and theadvantage of fault path analysis, but also make up the deficiency of lowaccuracy and precision in SDG diagnosis.
