The Research For Landscape Planning Of The Coal Mine Wastelands

For the past many years, the coal industry plays an important role in the development of society and resources. At the same time, it provides a solid guarantee for national economy. But its rapid development not only damages ecological environment, but also drains off the resources, resulting in a large number of coal mining wastelands. Therefore, the coal city is facing the dual problems of coal ecological environment and industrial restructuring. In the past, the governance on coal mining wastelands is mainly through the way of ecological restoration, which cannot lead to the goal of social and mining wastelands should be achieved through changing the methodology from simple ecological restoration to a comprehensive treatment with landscape architecture, which is sustainable developing way to coal mining wastelands, in other word, making long term program based on the consideration from multiple field, including landscape architecture, ecology, economics and sociology.In the process of writing, based on the theories of landscape architecture, landscape ecology, tourism and related subjects as the theoretical basis, this paper referred to a volume of documents and domestic and foreign cases, analyzes the related theory of coal mining wasteland. According to the special characteristics of coal mine wastelands, together with the ecological benefits, social benefits, landscape and economic benefits, the author analyzes the transformation mode of abandoned coal mine. With the analysis of wasteland renewal in Taiyuan Wanbailin Xishan coal mine, a successful example of coal mine wasteland reconstruction, the paper analyzes the reconstruction effect and method to make a reference to the actual case. Combining with the planning and designing schemes I took part in about coal mining wastelands, considering the factors of ecological restoration, landscape reconstruction and economic development, put forward the reform ideas of renovation waste coal mine. Finally, put forward suggestions on the landscape reconstruction and transformation and development of coal mine wastelands. The main research results are as follows:(1) The concept of landscape planning and design has been put forward, which is focused on the problem of coal mine landscape reconstruction and the patterns of development and utilization with the core of ecological restoration, on which the reconstruction is based. Based on the summary of remaining resources and ecological reconstructing methods, the paper provides an approach to landscape processing, making use of the existing resources and landscape design practices.(2) The author analyzed the real case she researched from a comprehensive point of view, which turned out to be a success, changing a piece of wasteland to an agriculture park. It is of great significance in terms of reforming and reusing coal mine wastelands emerging one after another. It is also important for the transformation of the ecological environment and enhancing the overall image of Shanxi province.(3) Finally, it offers a proposal to the landscape reconstruction development in coal mine wastelands. The ecological restoration of coal mine wastelands should be the core of reforming, with strengthening the research, integrating meaningful landscape design, and a sound management mechanism, which at last will yield the best results.
