As the basis of the vast majority of gear transmission device of the machine in the world, the tooth form shape technology research of the gear have received extensive attention in recent years on the academic and engineering circles, and for different choices of the cutting tool for processing gear will have a different impact on gear. Among them, slotting knife is a tool for machining straight teeth cylindrical gears and helical gears.In practice, slotting cutter is one of the most widely used tool for gear hob application.Although the gear hob have a high machining efficiency compared slotting cutter, in cutter for machining gear tooth profile involute tooth profile, forming error is smaller, avoid the principle error, and can be processing gear. In addition,in the machining precision of the cutter tooth is better than that of the gear hob. According to domestic and international statistics, the number of gear cutting machine tool is one quarter. In some developed countries, the number of slotting machine reached more than half of the gear, so it has a broad research value-According a group in gear machining straight cylindrical gear of the experimental data in the first tool factory in Harbin, using the correlation formula of the straight tooth cylindrical gear and in cutter modeling for gear maximum allowable stress, finally using SolidWorks software made in cutter3D model diagram.In this paper, the3D model of Ls-dyna is used to insert a cutter, and a simulation study is made on the machining of spur gear with cutting tools. According to the actual production of the first tool factory in Harbin, the influence of different cutting parameters on the gear and slotting cutter is studied. Focuses on the research of gear is cutting the maximum stress state, namely the tooth root should be residual stress and cutting stress, to get the relationship between peak force cutting parameters and residual stress.Finally, the intensity of the simulation results is checked. The reasonable cutting dosage of cutting tool for slotting cutter is obtained.. Simulation results agree with the experimental data, and the precision is better than that of the experimental data and achieved good simulation effect, confirmed the Ls-dyna obvious advantages of dynamic analysis, the simulation results have been used to Harbin the first tool factory actual production, gear and gear cutting tools of production and processing to provide an important reference.
