With regard to rapid growing-market of non- weaving textile, we have developed the PP with MI among 16-40 by two different processes:H2- addition or chemical degrading. In H2- addition process various factors ranging from H2- sensitive catalyst preparation to H2 injection rate, pressure and temperature etc during polymerization were observed, the optimization on Mitsubishi patent process in 110 kt/a PP plant of Lanzhou petrochemical Co.CNPC has been put into place as well, the PP with trademark of BL and BH characterized by low ash residue and narrow molecule distribution wins their reputation; By contrast, in chemical degrading process research efforts were focused on selecting additives and exploiting their synergy, further more, a special master batch blending with PP powder in twin-extruding has shown a satisfied result, with PP MI being up to 40.
