Research On The Development And Problems Of Trade Beween China And Africa

For African countries, china is not just a commercial partner that provides goods and technology. China is also expanding its development assistance to Africa, with massive infrastructure projects, debt forgiveness new loans, and increased resources for public health, education and training. As China is facing a very strong economy growth, the country needs African countries natural resources to sustain its rapid growth. China does look to Africa's resource to fuel Chinas growth. More broadly, African countries are good consumers of Chinese manufactured products. Therefore Africa is a potential natural resources provider for Chinese companies and on the other hand a good market for Chinese products. As the economy of both China and African countries develops rapidly, the Sino-African cooperation and exchange has involved in economical fields as well as political fields. Though Sino-African trade is facing bright perspective, there are still some opportunities and challenges. The problems in the Sino-African cooperation should be paid more attention. Uncertain factors in African market, Chinese less knowledge about African market together with Chinese lack of long-run strategic objectives result in some problems such as less trade amount and narrow cooperation fields. The inferior products exported to Africa affected Chinese companies'reputation in Africa. Sino-African relationship is concerned by western countries, while intervened by them as well. The competition from western countries is not good for the development of Sino-African economical and trade cooperation. Under such background, based on the volume exchange between China and African countries, this paper is to study the development of Sino-African trade. Suggestions proposed aim at improving sound and rapid development of Sino-African trade.This paper includes five parts. The first chapter presents the background, purpose and significance of this study based on the latest researches about Sino-African economical and trade cooperation both domestic and abroad. The second chapter elaborates the phrased process of cooperation and development of Sino-African trade as well as the achievements obtained. The third part analyzes in detail problems that are impeding the development of Sino-African relationship by comparing trade volume, trade system, trade by region as well as political system and culture. The next part studies the above mentioned problems and analyzes the reasons. The last part draws the conclusion and brings forth suggestions to improve development of Sino-African trade.
