The material properties of the natural ecosystem and its service function attribute is the Earth's life support system, an important part of the living environment of human essential elements of sustainable development, but also the basis for harmonious development of society. Ecological assets and natural resources of direct value to the value of ecosystem services integrated. From the beginning of the 1970s global warming, soil erosion, desertification and other ecological and environmental problems have intensified the trend, but also in control there is a certain degree of difficulty, one can not ignore the factor is the ecological value of the assets on the difficult to quantify, and thus can not be to compensate for the loss of the destroyer punishment.Quantitative assessment of ecological assets, not just in economic sense for our environment to be a money-oriented thoroughly investigated, but also to attempt to rise for a better society as a whole attaches great importance to the ecological environment, while also easy to ecological assets into the market economy system, for the development of eco-compensation policies provide a basis for environmental damage.In this paper, reference to the measurement of ecological assets in recent years based on the results from the choice of measurement indicators, establish estimation model, as well as other aspects of the formation of technology systems,11 have been designed. In support of GIS technology, using of the Landsat TM satellite remote sensing data, and MODIS data, as well as land cover types, and field observation data and other ecological parameters, we estimate the combined value of ecological assets in Fuzhou. First, the ecological value of the asset composition is divided into conserving water, maintaining soil and water, regulating climate, health, nutrient cycling, biological growth, and other such aspects, and then will be based on land-use type in Fuzhou ecological system is divided into woodland, farmland, garden land, water, urban and rural land and unused land, respectively, to estimate, after Canada and, to arrive at the total value of ecological assets in Fuzhou, the last attempt to establish the ecological assets, estimates of the system operational.Results of the study indicate that the ecosystem in general in good condition in Fuzhou, its ecological assets in 2005 reached the total value of approximately 23.7 billion.This study gave a comprehensive regional ecological assets attempt to estimate, by estimating all types of ecosystem Fuzhou value of the assets, the economic benefits of eco-city construction quantification, the use of economic levers to adjust the relationship between the people and the ecological environment, in order to implementation of the strategy for sustainable development in Fuzhou, as well as provide a scientific basis for building a harmonious, Fuzhou.
