Virtual Prototyping technique is a new technique of the products design, which is a revolution to the traditional product designing methods. By using the virtual prototyping technique, the engineer can discover the latent problems during the product design stage and correct them in time, reduce the dependence on the physical kind machine, not only save cost, shorten the product development period, but also raise the product function, strengthen the competition ability. The virtual prototyping technique is lead into the Bolt-Hole Drilling Robot's design and development realm, the main aspects are studied as following1. The development condition of the jumbler is discussed, Aimed at the problem existing at present, a new equipment is put forward.2. By analying the unique feature of Bolt-Hole Drilling Robot, the total plan and the initial parameters are determined, the entity modeling and the hypothesized assembly are completed.3. The hypothesized prototype is established, and on this basis, the movement simulation analysis and the static analysis are made.4. Through the finite element analysis, the main components are checked. The mechanical structural of Bolt-Hole Drilling Robot is feasile by designing and analying on Bolt-Hole Drilling Robot with the virtual prototyping technique. It has higher social efficiency and the economic benefit.
