Due to the widely application of the CCD equipped optical telescope and Windows Operation System, the software of astronomical image capturing and processing needs to be updated. Considering astronomical observation with CCD system, a Windows operable software was developed to complete astronomical image apturing and processing, where a DH-VRT-CGI 00 image capturing card was adopted and VC++ language was used for the compilation that is very convenient for the practical application. The CCD capturing and stellar image centering are important in astronomical image processing. The present method of image centering has advantages of Stetson derivative searching method and moment method, which are considered to decrease the influence of the atmosphere turbulence and to improve both the precision of centering and the speed of calculation. Astronomical image restoration is a very important field in astronomical image procession Due to some facts (e.g., the atmosphere turbulence, diffiaction of the optical system and imperfection of CCD), the captured images on CCD become mostly blur and scintillant The influence of the optical and electronic system was analyzed in the paper, and an enhanced CLEAN algorithm was presented for restoration of CCD image. In addition, a new CLEAN algorithm was given, which can ensure the restoring quality and accelerate the velocity of the algorithm. CLEAN technique is widely used in radio interferometry and synthesis mapping, but it has never been extended to other field. This paper describes a succeed application of CLEAN in CCD image restoration Using simulated data, the performance of the filtering technique with equal power spectrum for astronomical image restoring was examined. Such a satisfactory experiment should be significant to those who are engaged in astronomical image processing.
