AnaIysis of Diversity of MineraIization inNorth Zone of Yulong MetaIIogenetic BeltMajor: Mapping and GIS EngineeringName: Li ZhijunSupervisor: ProL Chen JianpingAbstractThe study area is located in eastem Tibet, which consists of the middle northpart of the famous three-rhier tectonic metallogenetic be1t, where the tectonic seningis unique and the mineral resources are in abundance. Although there were manyresearch w6rk made in the area, the diversity ofmineralization of the area was nevermentioned. So, on the basis ofhavng a huge collection ofgeological, mineralgeophysical and geochemical evidences, the author studied the diversity ofmineralization in the hope of doing some significant foundation works for probing themetallogenetic mechanism and researching the mineralization characteristic. To begin with, the author processed the remote sensing images and interpretedthe linear and circular simctures. the linear and circular smictures. Through theinterPretation, two buried linear smiCtures of north-east orientation were discovered, which played an imPota role in the tectOnic development and the formation ofYulong porPhyry copper dePosit as well. On the basis ofquantitahve analysis oflinear structures, the regional geological background field was established wth the, geophysical and geochemical informahon. Both the spatial data management and spatial analysis technology of GIS andnon-linearity system were essential for metallogenehc prognosis. Therefore, throughthe process ofmultforiate data with the funchon of spatial data management of GISthe author dealt with the relahon ofminera depositS and faultS, Which behaved wthfractal featore, by means off ractal. And the crustal fiuctUahon level, which gave anexplanation to the ore-bearing resultS of the strtu, was reckoned up by the factor ofcrustal fluctuation. In addihon, the author researched the chaotic characterishc of thedistribution of geochemical anomalies and put forth a fractal correction model for it. It was proved effective. Finally, the author analyzed the regularities of distribution in time and spacethrough the analysis of time and space spectrums of mineral deposits according to the diversity of mineralization, and setup a model of metallogenetic prognosis of thenorth zone of Yulong metallogentic belt.
