As a computer system that can receive, storage, query, integrate, deal with, analyze and display the information, which is related to the location on the earth surface, GIS (Geographical Information System) has widely used in many fields including preventing and controlling flood. By using GIS , "the flood prevention information system of Daqing oil field" played an important role in the management of drainage in Daqing oil field.Through analyzing the actuality and trend of the international GIS and theory of flood, the author bring forward to construct the integrated drainage system of Daqing oil field.Firstly, considered both the function of the flood prevention information system and the practice of the management of drainage, the development process and technology of the flood prevention information system has been detailed discussed.Secondly, One universal Object-oriented Geographic Data Model, which is according with the management of drainage, has been constructed.Thirdly, the corresponding database and their relation has been constructed.Fourthly, the correlative information has been geographized by the spatial analysis technology.In the end, the flood prevention information system of Daqing oil field has been set up, which is very applicable.
