Aerial Topographic Data Quality Control

Although the technique of photogrammetry has been improved greatly, the method of finding errors and quality evaluation is not effective today. Aiming at the actual questions of production, some solutions to check geomorphic data are presented.The major work implemented in this paper are presented as follows:(1) The neighborhood relation between elevation marking points and contours is emphatically analyzed, according to which a method of automatically checking contradiction between their values is presented. A method for checking contour attribute automatically through utilizing profile scanning from two directions is presented.(2) Some methods for checking errors by showing DEM on screen are presented. The method of checking suspicious points by utilizing some mature algorithms is also put forward.(3) In order to take advantage of digital map production based on network, we present a method to form a database for quality check.According to the methods put forth in this paper, we develop practical software system and put it into production.
