Technologies of Modeling with UML and programming based on COM are discussed to developing digital photogrammetry software. Additionally, these technologies are applied to software of project named data-process subsystem of large CCD plane array digital aerial survey camera (SpatialView).The Main Contents of this thesis are as follows:1. On the basis of summing current modeling technology, this paper focuses on the study of object-oriented modeling technology with UML. The application of this technology to phases such as requirement, system analysis and system design are described with experiment on designing digital photogrammetry software. Additionally, The use-case model, system analysis model and system design of SpatialView software are created.2. The key points of developing digital photogrammetry software with COM technology under windows platform are discussed after comparing three available component technologies. It is proved that problem of engineering development, update and reuse can be solved efficiently by using COM technology.3. Implementation technology of digital photogrammetry software is studied in this paper. Additionally, It is pointed that component should be basic unit of developing, test and integrating when developing digital photogrammetry software. Experiment of developing proved that binary integrating based on component can not only avoid miscellaneous problem of integrating based on source code, but also realize reuse between different programming language.The result of experiment proved that Modeling with UML and programming based on COM are applicable to developing digital photogrammetry software, system architectural designed in this paper is feasible, The application of these technologies can solve problem of document organizing, engineering development, update and reuse when developing digital photogrammetry software.
