The on-off controlled hydraulic system of all-hydraulic operated drilling machine generally has following disadvantages: simple function, low level of automatization, low efficiency. Automatization and high-efficiency are the developing trend of all-hydraulic operated drilling machine. The electro-hydraulic proportional technology, which is the interface to integrate micro-electronics with the system of engineering power, is one of theessential technologies for construction machinery to achieve automatization. The study of the applications of the electro-hydraulic proportional technology is significative and valuable in engineering for all-hydraulic operated drilling machine to improve the controlled performance and efficiency.Taking the MKD-5S all-hydraulic operated drilling machine for example, this article firstly analyses the work situation and the composition of efficiency. On the basis of this, the hydraulic system of the MKD-5S drilling machine is resigned for improvement. Specially energy-saving design of the feeding system is made and the control characteristic of the electro-hydraulic proportional controlled system of feeding is studied both in theory and in experiment. The result of the study shows that the electro-hydraulic proportional technology is useful for all-hydraulic operated drilling machine to simplify the operations and composition of system, to improve the level of automatization and efficiency and to reduce the consumption of energy. The result of the study also shows that the system of feeding has the properties as followed: fast respone, stable pressure-adjusted characteristic, distinct effect of energy-saving, some improvement of system efficiency.The electro-hydraulic proportional technology and the viewpoint of energy-saving are introduced into the design of all-hydraulic operated drilling machine in this article.This article offers some references for the design of all-hydraulic operated drilling machine with high level of automatization and high efficiency.
