After the development of more than 20 years, the Gudao oil field south region has come to high water content late production stage. How to further improve oil field development level, and how to achieve stable and high producing ability is the main technique subject at present. In this paper, oil reservoir fine description has been applied, and by study of reservoir, structure and fluid features, fluid units have been divided and new geology models have been rebuilt. Then logging data have been reinterpreted and reprocessed and numerical modeling results have been used. On base of these work, the residual oil distribution feature and regulation in the fluvial facies sandstone in Gudao oil field south region has been scientifically studied. The findings of this paper will play an important directive role for the adjustment of development plan and further improvement of old field recovery efficiency of old oil field.1. Comparing reservoir beds in details step by step, we have divided and compared thedeposition time unit in Guan 3-6 sandstone bed sets, which has been divided into 20 small beds, 30 time units: rebuilding oil sandstone body data table, building graph database, further analyzing the level and section plane configuration and combination pattern of sandstone, and deducing the maze reservoir geology model of river sandstone, are the most important basis for oil reservoir description and residual oil distribution study.2,By detailed studying of sedimentary microfacies, Guan 3-6 beds mainly belong to highcrooked fluvial deposition system, and some parts of Guan 5-6 show plait fluvial deposition system features: detailed divided them into edge beach, center beach and natural levee etc. 9 deposition microfacies and beach ridge and groove microficies.3 , Logging curve comparison results show that in the west part of south region there is agrade 4 normal fault, and the separation is 4-6 meters. Five microstructure types and 8 top and bottom composition patterns have been proposed. The relationship between microstructure and deposition facies was studied and the genesis relationship was confirmed, that is, top microstructure is mainly corresponding to nature levee, contrasting to that of the bottom microstructure.4, By making use of micro pore and permeability apparatus and OPTOPN multifunctionmicroscope etc. advanced reservoir testing equipments, the ability to show heterogeneity from micro to macro has been improved largely. K-level/K is more than 1.4 in south region reservoir, that is to say, the permeability in section is worse comparing to that of level direction, which is caused mainly by mud layers: different stone facies results in different micro feature, and in the south region, fluvial sandstone has cementation, compaction, corrosion and exchanging diagenesis, which occurred in B stage of early period.5, South region oil has the feature of "three high and one low", the stratum water is typeNaHCO3, and plane distribution is affected by gravity differentiation and faults, which caused each fluid block separating into individual.6, Clustering analyzing method has been used, and Guan 3-6 sand bed sets have been dividedinto 5 fluid units quantificationally. The spacing distribution of the fluid units and their controlling function to the residual oil distribution has been descripted.7, Three-dimension quantificational geology model has been built by means of Gaussrandom modeling method and shown; at the same time, three-dimension data body has been input into oil reservoir numerical model, and we achieve actual integration study of geology and numerical model. And geology model has shown higher precision by historical fitting and testing of numerical models, and corresponding to objective situation underground.8, By study of reservoir parameters, fluid feature and changing regulation of logging reflectionin different water out stages, we have obtained the qualitative and quantification method for water out level determination. Under the restr...
