Based on the rapid development of Close-range photogrammetrical and laser-scanning technology, this paper presents some demerits of traditional Close-range photogrammetry, demands for the real-time photogrammetry at present, as well as the personal investigation in the theories of laser-scanning and the technologies about step-by-step generator and manipulating console. All these serve for the creation of the laser-scanning hardware and software devices, and even for the final testing results.The main investigation achievements of this paper are as follows:(1) Developed a complete set of laser-scanning system with the qualified software and the hardware platform;(2) Developed the system of laser-scanning hardware and its manipulating console through investigating the kin products, which we can find, made by some noted cooperates;(3) Managed I/O COM programs, which dipped into, to realize the function of transporting data between computer and the manipulating console; and managed I/O LPT programs to receive data from the laser-scanning device to computer;(4) Solved some key problems in the second development of AutoCAD with C++ language, and developed its further use with ObjectARX and Visual C++;(5) Complete the primary test with the laser-scanning device, obtained some results.Whereas what I mentioned above, the progress, we made at the present phase, will help my further investigation in the real-time photogrammetry a lot.
