Six Eastern Grams Under Reservoir Description Study

This paper describes my recent research on the 3rd class gravel reservoir of Karamay oil field, specifically the lower Karamay layer of the 6th Area that was earlier exploited by water injection. The reservoir description and dynamic analysis software I use includes Discovery, FastTracker and DSS32. Description of the formation structure feature, sedimentary micro facies and pay zone distribution feature is given based on research of the static characteristics of the . reservoir with view of the characteristics of the production behavior. High resolution 3D geological model has been built from which detailed description of the d istribution feature of oil, s team and w ater as w ell as t hat o f the r eservoir heterogeneity. The above research indicates the future profitable area, solves some practical problems of the oil production, proposes suitable methods and procedures for the referred block and provides facts and technical support for reservoir assessment and simulation, development strategy optimization. The research is of great significance to description of similar heavy oil reservoir that evolutes from water injection to steam injection.
