Construction Of Grid-oriented Spatial Database Engine

Spatial Database Engine (SDE) is the core technology by which GIS manages the greatcapicity spatial data. Recent years, computer technology, especially the development of Internet, distributed computing and components influenced SDE and GIS greatly. Grid Computing, a new technology for distributed computing, mainly deals with two problems: sharing all the resource on Web and acquiring the high performance computing. How does SDE relevantly acclimatize itself to Grid is the original thought of this thesis. Based on the study of SDE and Grid technology, the author puts forward the solution of the Grid-oriented Spatial Database Engine, and discusses it exploringly on practice. The main content of the thesis as follows:1 From the development of the spatial data management, an analysis is made on the actuals and futures of SDE.2 Summary the basic conception and content of SDE and discuss the development of the architecture of SDE in detail.3 Expound the conception, the advocates, the architecture and the development trend of Grid technology. And analyse the influence that Grid technology brings to GIS and SDE.4 Based on the research above, a solution on Grid oriented Spatial Database Engine is put forward and practiced with .NET framework.
