Content:A comprehensive process has been performed on the geochemical data aquired in China RGNR plan based on the theory of Geochemical Blocks. On the base of this this process, a demonstration has been made on the spatial distribution of Cu geochemical block in the Middle and Lower Yangze River Reaches, and an analysis had done on the spatial relation of these blocks to known Cu deposits. The Cu geochemical block mineralization coefficients (Mc) and concentration level for Cu resource prediction in the Middle-Lower Yangze River reaches are determined to be 2.1797% and 31.303μg/g respectively. By using the equations for calculation of resource amount and potential resource amount, the potential resource amount of copper in the rock mass with a given thickness of 1000m within this area is estimated to be about 563.930wt. At the end of this dissertation, the method of Contast Value Anomaly (CAV) to recognize the weak anomaly is introduced. In the process of recognizing weak anomalies in the area, a new anomaly is recognized by using this CAV method. This method has some advantages to disclose the low abnomals in different regions. It can amplify the abnormals signs and acts an auxiliary tool for geochemical block studies.
