Panoramic Annular lens is a optical system that can achieve 180° view field without any rotational parts.It will be widely used in national defence ,aviation,medicine and traffic.The thesis complete the evaluating of the image quality of the Panoramic Annular lens.Optical Transfer Function (OTF) is one of the most impersonality and effective measures for evaluating the image quality of the optical systems.It is widely used for process controling of the optical systems design and evaluating the image quality of the optical imaging systems.The Panoramic Annular lens is a rising optical image system and it is much different with the conventional optical image system in the theory of imaging and the imaging characteristic. There is no systemic method of evulating the image quality of the Panoramic Annular lens before.The thesis put forward a new measure for evaluating the image quality of the Panoramic Annular lens with the OTF.The Numeric Fourier analysis is the basic.We make the EDGE as object.Getting the Edge Spread Function (ESF) by intergating the histogram of the Edge's image.Then derivative the ESF to get the Line Spread Function (LSF).Lastly FFT of the LSF to get the Panoramic Annular lens' Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) in the direction of tangential and radial.The thesis is composed of seven parts: Foreword.
