The gushing water and projecting mud soil are the most frequent geologic hazard in the tunneling. The groundwater is undoubtedly the most outstanding one of dynamical factor in the geologic hazard. The research work of mechanism and forecast of the disaster caused by the groundwater, has become a hot problem currently. The author takes "JiaHuoyan Tunnel" as the background, and takes groundwater forecast research of construction stage as the purpose, based on the actual need of the project. Firstly, this paper carries out comprehensive engineering hydrological investigation, and makes full use of research findings that belong to the field of drilling , geophysics , geochemistry , hydrogeology and so on. It resolves tunnel area lithology, tectonic framework , big dominating faults, the regulation and distribution of joint system and the important engineering geology problems, and obtains satisfied hydrology geology parameters , serving budget estimation and scheme, and laying the foundation for construction stage and water yield calculation. Secondly, the author introduces the application of several kinds of predication methods in the tunnel, combining practical consideration of scientific research in "JiaHuoyan tunnel".To an important degree, it carries out analysis of TSP exploration technique and GPR applied instance of "JiaHuoyan tunnel", and summarizes their applied effect. The author has been carrying on the research of the interaction mechanism of water and rock, building up hydrogeology model , which adopts the obtained hydrogeologic parameter, finishing the forecast of water yield in the part area of "JiaHuoyan Tunnel" and the discussion of groundwater classification in the tunnel wall rock.
