Kamafugite is an ultrapotassic volcanic rock ocuuring in oceanic and/or continentalsettings, especially in continental rift.Kamafugite is also an igneous rock outcroppingvery rarely in the world.Cenozoic kamafugite reported in this paper occurs in WestQinling,Gansu Province,China. The kamafugite is mainly a volcanic product of Cenozoic age.It is poor in Si2O andAl2O3,but rich in CaO,MgO,Ti2O and (K2O+Na2O).It resembles OIB in geochemicalcharacteristic. The kamafugite of West Qinling has a paragenetic relationship withcarbonate, showing that West Qinling kamafugite has the typical characteristic ofcontinental settings. The studies reported before show that the genesis of thekamafugite in West Qinling may be related to the fluid action from mantleplume/asthenosphere. West Qinling kamafugite has ocellus, which often appear in kimberlite, somealkaline igeous rocks, carbonatite and lamprophyre. There are many differences amongocellus ,such as sizes, shapes, mineralogy, mineral association, and so on. The genesis ofocellus is very complex, and we can find seven or eight kinds of minerals in one ocelli. It shows that ocellus have open syetem.Ocellus may be considered as the phenomena, which indicate that the mantle fluids influence magma generation. The researches into mantle fluids mainly focus on fluid inclusions and mantleinclusions.Ocellus also have information about mantle fluids, but few people studythem. The paper lays a strong emphasis on the ocellus, ascertains mineral association, and describes the ocellus's complexity and variety. It deduces the component of mantlefluids, discusses the relation between mantle fluids and primary kamafugite magma.Itprovides the new proof demonstrating the genesis of the kamafugite in West Qinlingmay be related to the fluid action from mantle plume/asthenosphere.
