The characteristic of reservoir upgrowth, profitably type of reservoir diagenesis of the reservoir and the plain unfolding of diagenetic facies are discussed, the controlling factor and regularities of distribution for reservoir of Xujiahe Formation in Upper Triassic, south of Sichuan are finding, and the profitably strap of reservoir upgrowth, in the basis of viding a great deal of correlation literatures, careful observation of the field section planes, and proceeding correlative lab analysis and assay, and researching the distribution of strata and the characteristic of sediment upgrowth, so in the end we can advance some beneficial proposal for emphases of subsequent development work and searching the new supersede series of strata and exploiting new exploration area.According to manoeuvre-research and exploration of the research section, the regularities of distribution and the characteristic of sedimentary facies unfolding are concluding in the research about the strata sedimentary characteristic. In the basis of fluctuation of lake level and through combining the different kinds of phase label, the sedimentary facies of Xujiahe Formation is divided into anastomosed stream, delta, lake-morass facies and the homologous subfacies and microfacies. The unfolding characteristic of ertical transverse direction is researched, and the rational mode of deposition is come up with.In south of Sichuan, the lithology of Xujiahe Formation reservoir main is feldspathic-lithic quartz arenite with high compositional maturity and texture maturity. The reservoir physical property is bad because it is low-porosity, low-permeability and special low-porosity,special low-permeability. The reservoir is admixture pore reservoir that the domination is primary pore, assistance is secondary pore,so the reservoir pore texture is less as a whole. According to lithology, physical property, characteristic of pore texture, water saturation and productive capacity, pore type reservoir porosity cutoff for 5%, fractured-porous reservoir porosity cutoff for 2.5%. The reservoir of Xujiahe Foration is divided into four types, the main types are III and IV (which are bad and worse), I and II (which are better and good) are relative less.The diagenesis is complicated. Compaction, pressure-solution and cementation of siliceous and carbonate reduce pore, dissolution and tectonic-disruption increase pore. From north to south, the intensity of compaction, pressure-solution and tectonic-disruption gradually increase, the content of siliceous cement gradually multiplies and the intensity of corrosion gradually reduces.Diagenetic stage of Xujiahe Formation reservoir at present lays in late diagenesis A substage, and the reservoir "four history" evolutionary pattern is comed up with. Diagenetic facies are divided into five types according to the main diagenesis which controls the upgrowth of pore. The best reservoir physical property is the Chlorite cementation facies,the better is the dissolution-Kaolinite cementation facies, the worse is the Silicon cementation facies, the Calcium cementation facies and the tightly-compact...
